I had a bout of those some years ago. I was advised by a very clever doctor that the real way to get over it was that it had to come from myself. Various potions were only an apparent cure, all they do is relieve the symptoms.

He told me that I had to fight it down myself and as time goes by you get a bit stronger each time until it is of no further problem. The initial problem was pretty severe at times but following his advice worked a treat until eventually the attacks just disappeared completely. Obviously it is more difficult to start with but its like giving up smoking, it gets easier as time passes.

Binge drinking is now considered normal in many groups. It doesn't make it less harmful. Denial is a huge factor, as is irritation when consumption is challenged.

I'm not saying this to wind you up or attack you.
That only equates to five pints of regular strength beer (assuming single vodkas). Drink that on a school night and wouldn't consider it a binge Think I've inherited some sort of genetic high alcohol tolerance though. They all put it away on my Dad's side of the family and are for the most part fighting fit My Dad's Dad was a proper alchy and lived well into his eighties

Some define 4 pints as a binge.

n of 1/few examples don't prove safety.

We're a nation of alcoholics it seems.

Lol, that's fair enough. I just go with the flow on a night out. That probably is considered as binge drinking. It's only about once a month though as I said(there's the denial ). I dont' feel the need to go out every week and get in a state, but if I do go out I tend to drink quite a bit.
