And the poll does not lie: up from 10 to 22 "not satisfied" today alone.
I shall keep this near the top.

Post if you are dissatisfied, folks

Some people pay monthly to use this forum, and hence expect a certain level of service. So "use another forum" isn't an option for those guys if they've committed to a subscription - i.e. it's not a helpful comment.

Plus - "plenty of other forums??" - there are regional forums, but I've yet to find one that rivalled this one except sidc, and it's nowhere near as good in my opinion.

The solution therefore, is for the dev team to fix this issue, not disappear! Hope you see my this from another perspective now mate - not looking for agro - just trying to show you the other point of view.

Just a shot in the dark here but I know on other BB Software there are Modes that can be added to members i.e. It makes there viewing of the forum difficult in fact exactly the sort of problems Alcazar is having. Used to disuade Members from using the forms without banning them

I am not saying Scoobynet uses this but if it has had it in the past perhaps that could be the reason?

BTW its flying for me now

You want feedback? Here's some...

I am sick and bloody tired of this site's crappy loading times. It's gone on for months and although you appear to be doing something by asking crappy questions about what browsers we are using and asking people to try this that and the other it would appear that bugger all is happening with regards to resolving the issues.

I've just tried uploading images to the gallery and it keeps timing out. NO IT ISN'T A PROBLEM WITH MY FIREWALL BEFORE YOU PATRONSINGLY ASK.

For goodness sake. IB are supposed to be a professional web company.
I know for a fact I could host this site better myself on my server at home and even though I haven't the bandwidth IB have I've no doubt it would be quicker.

I still get bloody adverts even though I've turned adverts off in conrol panel. Made IB aware of this and yet still I get told about a "tire" deal in Dollars everytime i log on

For god sake, get your act together and sort these sh*tty **** poor problems out.

I've tried the ask nicely approach but you idiots really need to actually sit down and resolve the problem instead of fob us off with a load of bollocks that clearly isn't working. Get your ***** in gear people!!

Daz,
I will try to address your issues.

1. Seeing ads - where are you seeing adverts? (as in, what forum?)

With regards to overall site speed we have addressed a number of issues which were causing slow page loads and we are continuing to address a number of additional items.
From the screenshots "mr_impreza" it indicated that some of the slow loads were attributed to ibsrv hosted images, and that is really helpful (we haven't been able to get those problems by testing from the UK here).

We recently put scoobynet on a brand new database server, added an additional firewall for capacity and a few other hardware improvements, and it seems to most members it has made an improvement, some members (prehaps most notably - alcazar) have still been experiencing slow load times.
This, we don't know what to attribute to, as we cannot seem to replicate the concerns - I even "logged in" as alcazar from the UK to see if it was something from the UK, and I couldn't get a page load longer than 8s

We know there are many further performance gains to be had from a site, the way in which this forum software (vBulletin) is templated and structured is perhaps the biggest (so we purchased the company that makes the vBulletin forum software so we can get those improvements made in future product development), especially when it deals with a forum the size of scoobynet. A number of these things we have tried to mitigate already, building a custom search engine to improve searching speed (and prevent search from killing database servers), building out special hosting programs to improve image hosting (ibsrv - although as mentioned, it may be causing issues).
There are other areas for improvement too, a number of the custom avatars and features that scoobynet has for example slows down page load time (we are looking at future solutions for this).

Not to say that we aren't working on the concerns, we indeed are!
But short of jumping on a plane, coming to your house and having a beer with you and walking through the problem (don't get me wrong, I am all for that ). The problems that some of you are experiencing are very difficult to replicate.

Quick Reply: Scoobynet Performance Update. Feedback Welcomed.
