Here's a reminded; you said...
'The same as all the others,,,,,,,,,,,,sponging'
In response to PH's...
'WTF was he doing here in the UK???'
So you said ALL, and I know that to be outrageous and wilfully inaccurate, so I am right and will always speak up against trash comments like those. Sorry if you don't like it, but it's easy really; if you don't want to get called on statements like that then don't make them.

I've always wondered why they don't just sit in a van under a flightpath and use a surface to air missile against a plane. Ok, so STA's aren't exactly commonplace, but I'm sure if you're some fundamentalist type nutter you'd be able to get your hands on a couple, perhaps off a dodgy russian geezer
Would be interesting to know whether that is feasible, certainly seems simpler that fannying around with packs of explovies on the planes, thankfully so far that hasnt been attempted and I cant imagine fundamentalists read Scoobynet for terrorism tips but it always makes me feel a bit uneasy talking of such things, especially as I will be doing a fair bit of air travel next year !
I ride past the airport and sometimes ride past the end of the runway down the lanes, last year I did see some Asian guys in an old E class watching the planes, I think they were just doing that and nothing sinister but they clocked me scoping them out, its a shame really that I was thinking like that but thats the world we are living in.

Retarded for pointing out the falseness of your claim?
You have me at a loss, you ask me a question, I answer it (with a the facts) and you can't handle it, so you choose to do what all fools do and start firing unjustified insults.

Well I see this thread has degenerated into insulting Martin again, so on that note, I'm off !

I always wondered this, failing that any projectile weapon, A couple of AK47's aimed accurately at an airliner could be very dangerous and worryingly easy to get hold of in commparison, and I expect a post like that starts bells ringing at whatever agency monitors internet traffic

Surface-to-air missles with the guidance systems required to hit a 'plane are quite difficult to come by as they made in a factory and tagged, monitored. Obviously not impossible, but just difficult and difficult to transport undetected. Explosives are also quite difficult to get hold of, easier than missles, but still quite hard. So we are left with all the home-made stuff that most terrorists seem to use.
Rocket launchers can be picked up in most Eastern European countries, but are not that effective against a fast moving target (which a jumbo even on take-off or descent is) in the air unless you are on the runway and get a straight shot.

If you disagree with Martin so vehemently why not try and present a reasoned argument as to why he is wrong rather than just resorting to insults.
Maybe because you can't?

Small arms fire (AK47s) are not very effective against something relatively far away and you'd have to be extremely lucky (almost impossibly so) to do much damage even if you managed to hit it.

Thats good then, even if its not that effective I am suprprised they havent had a go, surely it would be better than a explosive bandage or crashing a Jeep into Glasgow airport and getting chinned for your trouble, still, dont want to be giving them hints the airliner fixated wierdos, terrorists, not Flightman I mean.

You are the single biggest poster of complete bollox the entire internet has ever seen. This will doubtless be as no surprise to you as that title is what you have been striving for, for many years now.
Just STFU.

Maybe you're in the group who benefit from what these PC do-gooders are doing, but for those of us who are picking up the tab and seeing the country change into something increasing unpleasant/unsafe/unstable it's not so nice.

Like you however, I too dislike what I see around me. I just put more thought into what I see as the real problems and how to solve them.
You actually have a point, however you do not help your cause by infecting everything you write with your vile hatred of 'everything'.
Please either make a sensible point or don't write anything at all.

The CIA world factbook even says Nigerians could never afford to legitimately leave their country, so one could assume they are not to be trusted if you meet them outside Nigeria.
