Yes, had a good 75mm of the white stuff. So had a snow break from work today.

Noticed too, where have all the 'Grit Bins' gone. Anyone living on or near a hill, just close your eyes and peep as you go down and keep fingers crossed.

Not so long ago there were bins near any slope etc. Not anymore, must be the lack of public/council spending.

Not a car on the road at 3am this morning, virgin fresh snow everywhere. Bloody tricky at times, the mountain roads had just about disappeared

The Freelander was brilliant never got stuck or even came close, went through some huge drifts with no drama even the ones half way up the bonnet

I can also vouch for the hill desent control how the hell does that work

Spot on.

Black ice will be the enemy for now on, nothing grips on that stuff

Take it easy peeps

My missus has a Freelander2 and usually it is great off road, however, it is currently on a set of road tyres with only a few thousand miles left on them so was totally hopeless in the snow and ice. You could almost feel the disappointment from the car as it knew it could do better but the owner had let it down with poor tyres!

I havn't taken the scoob out in the snow yet though...

I'm still on the OE tyres but they are still good so no issues for me yet, when these wear out I'll try a set of BF Goodrich AT's as they are superb and last forever.

I've had the Freelander 2 about 4 months now and TBH I love it.

Whether is all still in one piece in 3 years time is another matter but build quality does seem better on this model.

I not likely to take the scoob out in the snow either which in some respects is a shame.

Yep, the whole of the south of the country looks like getting another coating at the moment.
Winds are going to be a lot stronger as well so expect huge drifts if it does happen.

The only problem I can see with more snow is that it covers up the stuff that has turned into blocks of ice. You may think you are about to drive through a nice soft mound and it could be solid underneath!

Definitely taking the missus freelander to work on Sunday, Don't want to break my car!

Just travelled along M4 east from J24 Coldra, and its trying to snow. Can see it clearly in the headlights and a very fine cover on side roads.
