AfterMarket STI 5 and 6 spoilers on a classic

Thats an idea,i have had a nasty dealing with tigerseal (it has a good habit of removing the paint it attached to when you seperate the 2 items but not holding the 2 items together, used it on some splashguards i fitted but they fell off leaving a nice patch of missing paint) so might use silicone sealant instead,i used some silicone sealant on the v4 spoiler and **** me,it was hard to get off but didnt remove the paint when i did get it removed

Well,i fitted the replica i purchased and i am glad i only paid <£90 but since it was painted my colour i couldnt say no really at that price !
i had to drill a hole in the underside to get the LED wiring out which then took me another hour to feed the wire from the LED out the hole the other end,but managed it.
Then,i purchased some 40mm washers to put over the m6 bolts it needed so it has a great surface area under the boot securing it as i only used the 2 holes as standard eithe end of bootlid,to be honest,if i tried to drill holes in the middle of the boot and secure it down i think it would split the fibreglass as its about 5mm off the actual bootlid.
if someone wants to steal it then they will get it off albeit it 8 bolts holding it on or just the 4 i have.
all in all,if i had paid >£200 painted id be miffed but as is,happy enough, you do get what you pay for as mentioned but <£90 painted aint a bad deal !
will get a pic up of it,i did like the quote my missus said, looks like a beast now !!

I got a genuine p1 spoiler or what i believe to be a genuine p1 spoiler. A few years back from a company called precious metal. It was an ebay shop to begin with and now operates a full website. That was made from abs and finshed in black and had a carbon fibre lip. A steal for 450 the quality was amazing i had it on my old black classic and never painted it and no one ever noticed. It was also a lot lighter then my mates cheaper fibre glass one

The pics
The gap i am on about, wondering wether to use some sealant to secure it down as i think using bolts will fracture the fibreglass ????Or just leave it secured via the 2 ends (2 bolts each side)
