Anyone used Halfords 5w50 oil?

a cheap thin oil will drain away from the bearings much quicker then a good quality oil, once i stripped the engine down that had bearing damage there was very little oil coating the internals of the engine, the donar car with the rebuilt lump run on mobil 1 had a thick gold coating all over the internals, so when i come out on a cold morning to start it up for the first few seconds there IS metal contact with a **** oil.
i always remove the crank sensor plug now and turn the engine over untill oil pressure light goes of just the be safe now.

Oil will not drain completely from the bearings. There will always be a 'boundary layer' on the surface, albeit only a couple or so microns thick in places.
