That is why I am extremely reluctant to buy privately. A recent purchase from a dealer went very pear shaped but I took it back and got my money back which wouldn't have happened had I bought privately.
As for honesty and morality do me a favour, the buyer turned up with a couple of hundred quid less than he had agreed and tried a fast one on the seller. Had the buyer been straight up then more people may have been more interested in the state of the car rather than they buyer trying it on over a couple of hundred quid.

Reading through it is perfectly clear to me they both tried it on and the loser was always going to be the one left with the car at the end of the day.
