Ive had 3 LCD`s and all my Home audio gear from them, used them for a long long time,
I agree the Notts Branch isnt the best at times(depends who is working) but the prices on some stuff makes you wonder how they can do it,
I got my Grandparents a tv from there just before Christmas and they were 80 quid cheaper then anyone else for the same model(37 inch LG).

Bought a Yamaha tuner from them once. Being the curious type I had to take a peek inside - the PCB was Araldited together

This was ages ago and have used them since - web prices in a shop and they are far more informed than Comet/Currys staff

You might be right. Ive only had one problem with RS and that was with the Nottingham store, which isnt my local/usual. I was thoroughly pissed off and told JR so. I received what appeared to be a personal reply, a full refund for the item that I retained and vouchers which more than covered my out of pocket expenses.

Of course: its a bit late now.
