**NEED HELP WITH TMIC SIZES**
#61
Once and for all, these numbers mean sod all on newage cars. Calling an MY03 or 04 can an "STi8" is technically complete rubbish - it isn't consistent with the scheme established on the classics, which has its roots in FIA homologation and changed every model year. An 03MY Impreza WRC car is an S9 (and the PWRC equivalent an N9). An 08MY is an S14/N14. If you want to use numbers, they're the only ones with any technical legitimacy - although the entire concept is now so confused and misused that it's easier to stick to model years.
The answer to your question is that the second pic - the one with the notch out of the upper end tank, is off an 06+MY car. The first one could be off anything from MY01 to MY05 - which is consistent with the description saying '04.
The other part of this problem is both buyers and sellers who are too pig thick to know what they are dealing with, but let's not go there.

Part of the problem here is this "STi8" bullsh*t. This V7/8/9 thing on the newages has come to be commonly used through a process of repetition, not because it is founded in any sort of fact.
