Lol that's a water injection system lomas, not water spray.
Just chill out on this one, you're giving yourself a headache (and talking about spending ridiculous amounts of money there) trying to solve a problem that, as mentioned before, can be addressed more than adequately via simple common sense.

its not to keep intake temps down water injection is to improve the combustion process and allow higher boost limits by keeping the cylinder cool , not the intake charge chargecoolers are good as they circulate water around the intercooler and are best used front mounted its like a radiator / intercooler combo

Go to a pc site called watercooled, and order a digital temp display, matching sensor, and 5v to 12v adaptor- will cost you less than £15 I think all in. Slip the sensor under one of the silicone pipes, close to the throttle body, and see what it says. Wouldnt leave it there permanently as dont trust the sensor not too blow off long term.
In an ideal world, I think sub 30c or so is ideal, but in my MR2 you used to get up to 70c on WOT for an extended period, and that did track days, hillclimbs etc and ddnt blow up.
Chargecooling is only really worth it IMHO if you dont have a huge area for a front mount if you are still concerned, like in MR2 turbos where the IC is in one of the side pods.
