Worth looking ahead to when you might be at that age and in the same position.

i'd did more than that in petrol on the way down there !!

also there was a cashpoint outside too, but as said above, some people don't trust these new fangled robotic things.

i think i'm happier at work to be honest
Had a "discussion" with my nan over Christmas about cash points. She said categorically that she will never ever trust them and put her card into one. Mainly due to "so many people" being ripped off and having their card cloned.

I was thinking maybe I was lucky cos I know like 1 person who has ever had their card cloned and that was from a petrol station, not from a cash point!

Old people get told 1 thing and then have so much time to obsess about it, that even if it was a rumour, by the time it's been around their head a few times, it is the gospel truth and law!

My nan will not use a cash machine, as she was robbed just after drawing some money out of one a couple of years back.

Try to understand it from their point of view as well.

You gotta remember that the old folk mostly live on their own so take every opportunity to gas that they can

Yes thats true of course. I find it frustrating too but I was taught to respect elderly people and to make allowances as well.

Its also very irritating when you are in the Post Office queue and someone from an office is in front of you with a trolley full of official post each one of which has to be posted individually
