Actually, Pasties were originally half meat & veg & half fruit filling - Main & dessert in 1 easy to handle package for when you are down a tin mine...

I eat neither on a regular basis, but an Ivor Dewdney's is streets ahead of anything Ginsters can produce, despite being a "proper" Cornish pasty, apparently....

'James' the butchers just up the road from Ivor Dewdney is the best pasty, big butcher size chunks of meat in them! Proper job!
