Might leave them on the car to start with and see what happens, as they might help the sale? How old was the car that you sold on piston heads, my other concern is that people are buying the cheaper cars atm and we might struggle with the sort of value we are looking at. Just want a hassle free sale really

Mine was a 2000 with 78000 miles and a rusty wheel arch, it was one of the last classics. it sold for £4k which i was pleased with as you can pick them up for a hell of a lot less then that now. Mine had great service history so it shows that people will pay more for the right car.

Our Classic will be up soon when i swap the brakes over. Only 60k, altho we see all the service book stamped etc the previous owner managed to loose it for us... so dont have the proof.... But then we did get it DAM cheap at the time. so if we manage somewhere around 4k we will be happy.

See even YOU want an RS nick.

Put it on there for 14500 see what interest there is for a week or two. THEN drop IF you want to sell. It is still xmas so might not be many sales going ahead just yet.

Yeah sold it for more than you actually paid for it maybe BUT a service by main stealer must have put it over that.

Nick,

I am really enjoying the golf, grip isn't as good as the scoob, but I did also have all the handling sorted on the scoob. Once I get some decent rubber and decent weather then can push it a little

Performance again is completely different but I love the way the V6 revs and the torque in all gears is great.

Its a more mature way to drive Nick, I'm sure when everyone on here grows up and begins to act their age they will understand

if you are in no rush to sell her, put her on piston heads for a price you want.

you can then gauge from the replies/interest that you may have it over/under priced.

I would sell the wheels and pick up some £150 OEM wheels though.
if trading in, then prob yes, but why **** about when your trying to sell her, surely the more desirable it looks, the better it will sell. no?? after all its about 12k we're talking about here !

Because it gives Stu the opportunity to buy another set of wheels if it was him

All adds up OEM wheels are easy to come by at low prices and the desirability of a car is pretty subjective when it comes to wheels. I think Bright Flitter looks wrong on CGM cars which is why I sold mine on. If your going for the unmodified, unmolested factory fresh PPP sale it's an easy extra 300+ quid I think Darren STi paid c.600 for a second hand set recently, depends if you can hang out for a bit more muller out your car or if you really just want gone.

cough.....Milamber !!

lightweight factory optional extra will add clout to selling...

carlos fandango's with kazzakstan remoulds... might not.

goes back to the days when fords produced xr2's with either wheelcovers or alloys

....kudos sells
