It looked deceptively smart in the picture.

Paper-shufflers are a breed apart, you can only fight them with more paperwork....

P.S. My next door neighbour "complained" about Dylan rocking the front of his house as he hit our front door trying to "eat" an Asian guy stuffing "take-away" leaflets through the letter box

I think this quote from the late great Douglas Adams book the Meaning of Liff applies to Fiat condition as well as Sheep being picturesque, see the thread I am about to create for further details.

SHEPPY (n.)
Measure of distance (equal to approximately seven eighths of a mile), defined as the closest distance at which sheep remain picturesque.

Its a very difficult problem J4CKO. Yes it is irritating to have to listen to a neighbour's barking dog continuously but it is obvious that you are alive to it and that you don't leave the dog out all the time. Maybe your neighbours have gone a bit OCD about it.

I reckon that the only way is for you to meet up with them and have a chat about it. They can't expect you to keep the dog indoors all the time and you are only letting him out for a short time anyway.

In my experience, a friendly face to face chat with an explanation of the circumstances, and the fact you realise that the barking can be a nuisance so you will keep it to a minimum, should go a long way to sorting it. As long as they are reasonably minded as well of course.

Les, I would do if they would speak to us, they hid behind an anonymous letter.

Yesterday, we had no barking whatsoever, he was out a while with us either out with him or listening from the kitchen with the door ajar ready to sprint into action, this morning he went out at just after eight and started barking but was ordered in, within a few seconds so we would not call it "Continuous Barking" and not that different to how we were before, if thats what they are moaning about then sorry but its hard luck.

We are now logging every incidence, just in case.

He is a year old male Yorkshire Terrier/Poodle cross "Yorkie-Poo" called Rambo, he seems to get enough activity, couple of walks, loads of toys, big garden and three kids to keep him entertained, my wife is in and out most days, her work is occasional and usually at her mums which is on a farm where there are two other Dogs so he is generally kept pretty stimulated, if anything its things stimulating him thats the problem.

I suspect as things become less interesting as he has seen them a lot before he will ignore them but he is still a puppy really.

I think they can deal with a few seconds of barking a couple of times a day whilst we train him and he calms down.

They dont have a leg to stand on, my bros neabours had 3 labs they live in a semi, and you can hear them all day. Nothing they can do. Im suprised cos its a little dog it wont be as loud as a bigger dog. I hate yorkshire terriers they just think they own the place and run round mad.

Its still quite loud and sometimes the smaller dogs bark and be just as annoying as a louder one, he isnt a Yorkshore terrier, alledgedly he has some Yorkie in him but we say the mum which was meant to be a yorkie but looked like a large beige wiry haired Jack Russell, I was sceptical but he is a lovely Dog, looks like Gnasher out of the Beano and is bigger than we would have though he would have ended up, way bigger than Yorkies and not far off our old Dog which was a Cocker.

But we have seen instances of a man having to do away with his cockerel because of its crowing in the morning!

Yes thats good thinking over logging it.

Hope you can find out who sent the letter and get it sorted in a friendly way.
