My car even now doesn't feel as quick as my old car my99 car with 20g turbo even though its just far far far far far faster Its more a good thing as its a testiment to how good the newage chassis is. You probably sold your STI as you pressumed it never gave you the same feel on accel as your old car?? Two totally different cars, I just want a car that scares the **** out of me when I accelerate and I still ain't got there yet

Come on guys.... we have enough infighting on hear between ourselves, without giving the MLR a slice of the action!
Steve,
A proper cage will make a difference in rigidity..... even to a newage.

Steve,
Because it makes any achievement even more sweeter when people realise the car is a pure road car.
I spoke to Phil Keen before and after the cage was fitted to the LI/PS TA Winning Spec C and he said it made a big difference to the cars handling.

When I pulled my leather trim out after 30-130 I decided to weight the front seats and they are around 28kilos each, mine was fully trimmed that day and only running 1.6bar and I had never driven the car in 6 months till that day. I lkie the fact that mine is a proper raod car as well

Got to high 400's with just a walbro on mine though but there comes a point where it isnt worth risking an engine for the sake of 'wondering' why it can't do it. Just put a proper fuel pump on if you are after that power

TBH they are both great cars, not much in them at all.
And a bit of banter is always good.
Prefer Subaru's myself.... but if a nice VI Extreme came up for a good price i'd be off to the dark side!!! (Or a VII RS for that matter)
