never had an encounter with a gti6 in my scoob. Always heard they were quicker than their standard figures suggest. My mate who bought my mondeo st24 off me witnessed one up a motorway sliproad and got his **** handed to him he thought he would have had some chance but apparently not. :

What puzzles me is how someone has spent all that time and cosher modifying a vehicle to over 400bhp and only ended up with a Peugeot

Was it that minging bird driving it? She tried it on once on the hill which goes upto Foxhills ind. est. from Skippindale, suffice to say in my little 900kg car she didn't win the battle to 70

E46 M3's are pretty quick, the E36's aint, the evo versions aint bad though.

Tony
My previous car was an E36 m3 evo, "aint bad" is quite an understatement

There doesn't seem to be many folk round Scunny that do wave in Scoobs.

Theres some dosy bint who has a nice looking RB320 that seems to drive everywhere @ 30mph. I've seen her filling up at Morrisons with normal unleaded too

I havent had the scoob on the road long enough to find out lol. Think i saw two and didnt get a response.

Not seen the RB320, sounds like thats gonna have a lucky next owner. But have seen what looks to be a Nan, driving a brand new Focus RS, she drives it with the seat real high and forward! "the lady position" .

Was funny one day going onto the motorway with one of these (all the kit on) against my rather plain looking spec c that I had at the time, think he thought he would beat this "wrx" with his 321bhp, he had a BIG shock just the look on his face when I passed him (no it wasnt the non evo version either ), dont think he had a clue what it was
And yes, vanos, what a nightmare, one of the things that put me off looking at an M5

M5's Didnt really suffer all that bad, was mainly the twin vanos evo's.

Intrigued to know how you knew it was an evo? The kit you refer to can be put on anything down to a 318is (not at all saying it was a 318 lol) Also the speeds your talking about?

Mine was rapid, beat a couple e46 m3's on the motorway!

Been up against some of the lower powered (276bhp?) non evo models, this had the badges etc but still I would have had about 40bhp on the none evo cars, use to reel in e46 M3's for fun, even happily kept up with an M5 (51 plate i think?), and as for speeds, I changed from 4th to 5th as I passed him

E46 is faster to 60 but thee old evo's are faster after that. The older M3 was a 3.0 single vanos and about the bhp you said.

Impressed with you passing one at those speeds! I know how fast fourth was in mine, i think 5th is geared to 167mph ;-), but a limiter in 6th to 158mph

The M5 is only a fraction faster than the evo, due to weight, but its full of luxuries interior wise

I used to have a very good GTI-6 and only sold it recently, I did like the car but my "STANDARD UK WRX" would wipe the floor with it...From stand still, once rolling and in the "Twisties". Case closed!

before i ownd my scooby i had a 106 turbo running near 300 bhp when the car was rolling there wasnt much that could touch it in a straight line but as soon as you showed it a corner it was usless compared to my scooby massive amount fun mind as you was fighting with it all the time really kept me entertained but the running costs were crazy was in and out the garage every time i took it out pretty much

Well if you think the wrx will "wipe the floor" against a 306 gti, dont try racing a honda civic type r because that will "wipe the floor" with your wrx
