in the true sense of modifying cars (i.e. never enough money!) me and a mate came up with a cheapo alternative to dynamat - Hi-Tack Flashing Strip - Alumimiun Flashing - Roofing -Building Materials - Wickes - it's primarily made from the same stuff and does have very similar results
(tested it in a couple of cars plus, got geeky and borrowed some kit out of a clients science lab to do some full on proper tests )
only thing I will say though, make sure the surfaces are spot on clean before applying it and if you can, use an additional adhesive since the one on it is fine when it's warm (sticks like p00 to bear fur) but when it gets cold and the bitumen goes hard / brittle, the adhesive starts to give if you batter it too much

yep.... been using it for years!! shhhhh dont tell all the bods with more money than brain cells........... its funny watching them pay out for stuff thes 4 times as expensive!
