Well, what do we think?

Correct era grill (and in all grey) and headlights now fitted..

Only thing I need to sort now is the little rubber flaps above the headlights that pop onto the bonnet, they're removed on this and you see too much of the top of the headlight/bonnet gap IMO.

Anyone have a pair?

Also put a straight through exhaust system on yesterday (inc downpipe) and it goes very nicely now.. it's got that raggid hit of power as it comes on boost in 2nd gear now.

New front discs and pagid pads now on (was a mission finding pads as the calipers had been changed to a newer car's 2 pots, but found the right ones in the end)

I've sort of got this vision of this style lip being available at the time in Japan (JUN look?) so think I can get away with it.

If I add v3/v4 lip then I might as well have just put a v3/v4 bonnet on, kept the grill and lights and had the full look.

I don't want to loose the lip as without anything it'll look high and too boring imo. I just wish it didn't have the vents in the side of it, maybe I could 'delete' them.

Plus adding a new v3/v4 lip won't be cost effective.. everything else I've done has been and it was only supposed to be a runner while I fiddle with the evo.

Was debating removing the rear tints but I like the authentic JDM look plus they're bloody handy when you've got a baby!

Splitter is staying, I'm feeling the deep front end and it's a cheap daily runner so no more money being spent as my evo needs some loving I will pull my finger out and repair it one day though.

Excellent to see. I owned number 21/200 STI Version 1 Saloon I put mine back to a visually standard look (except the 17's to accommodate the 4 pots under them):

totally understand what you are saying...perhaps it is the vents that are spoiling it for me but I'd rather have a genuine splitter even if it is for a later version car than an after market jobbie

whichever you decide it's still a huge improvement on how it looked when you got it

Looking even better.

Know what you mean with the splitter. I love the way the V6 looks, but can't decide whether its right to stick a V6 splitter on my V5. Personally I'd stick with an OEM one, as it could have been a later fit option.
