i got the car washed by the car wash guys on pipps hill.
then i had to re chamois it and wipe off all the marks they left.i am certain they scratched it with a dirty sponge or chamois.
i am going to start doing it myself

Took me a while to find the ones I use now, and they are very good - won't ever use anyone else now - outside done for £6, inside included for a tenner... even the rear back box gets polished....

The alternative is to find a small one (with three or four workers only) have a word with them before you let them at it, tell them what you want them to be careful of and watch them like a hawk - correcting them as they go if needed. If they are any good they will remember you (and as you give a good TIP, they surely will....) and they will wash it exactly as you want each and every time - problem solved....

We didnt even take the Escort to a drive through car wash.
I used to valet cars for my first business, i know for a fact that these places use cheep products ie washing up liquid, the dont give a damb about your motor! (they cant do for a tenner!)
I used to (and still do) use 2 buckets, 2 sponges, 2 leathers, one for above the bumper line, and one below! your better off paying abit more getting someone who knows what their doing!
