Anyone gone from Impreza to Forester?

No, I still think about it most days.
I sat in this one recently: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Subaru-Foreste...item588c784d78
But their showroom is a bit of a dark warehouse, and there were no lights in the car.
I wouldn't go for an import anyway, as I'd most probably retire most of Impreza into it (engine, box, brakes, interior)
So basically I should go for a non runner.

You should seriously consider - you wont be disappointed. I cant believe we didnt go for one sooner.. bought the crappy Impreza wrx 2004.. awful car. Have had the FSTI for over 3 years and its a great car, so practical and looks much better in Black than any Impreza Wagon. Forget Legacy's - these are for old people are for people who dont know how to have any fun anymore
STI Forester is the one to go for, residuals are the same as the Impreza's I'd say..

Wow over 2 years since I started this, and have just got myself a MY00 Forester s-Turbo.
I've got it along side my MY00 Impreza with some nice mods. Plan is to break the Impreza and use the engine and box in the Forester.
I'll be sad to see the Scooby go, its been 5 years of fautless ownership.
