how can you tell if you have an R or an S?
iv got a full system 3inch no cats and i feel guilty about driving in my street,
havnt had it long or went out much as it needs a timing belt but still feel guilty,
its by far the loudest car iv had bung prob going back in

I fitted the Spec R yesterday here's a sound clip YouTube - Impreza NurSpec Exhaust
Yours will be louder as you have no middle/resonator section

It depends on what model you have, listening to a nur spec on a newage dont sound as basey as they do on a classic imho, also if you drill a small hole in the tailpipe the bung wont rattle around ,and hear is my favourate clip once more:

I'm still toying with the idea of getting one of these myself to replace the Racebox, but like you am a bit worried about the noise levels annoying the neighbours. Also have no cats in mine.

im not in a good mood. here goes. i dont want to badmouth the place i ordered the exhaust from because they are top guys. and i know alot of peeps on here have had no issues with them and to be honest, ive never had problems with them. i was, as you can see, expecting the exhaust today. it didnt turn up. luckily i let them know at midday. because within the hour, they had sorted it for me. they are doing a special, one off, delivery for me tomorrow, saturday AM. at their cost. obviously. with the absolute promise that it will be here tomorrow. ive certainly got my fingers crossed. they told me what had happened and accepted full responability. my scoobs in my garage on axle stands with no back box.
.
i am absolutely hoping it turns up tomorrow. it bloody well wants too. !!!!![Mad](images/smilies/mad.gif)
although i am tempted to start the car up just to see what it sounds like with no back box. but im not going to.
will update with good news tomorrow hopefully![Cry2](images/smilies/cry2.gif)

Before christmas I fitted a APS 3.5 inch de-cat system. Even with the bung in, which is adjustable, it is loud. Can't wait to take it out but will normally run with it in as is mapped that way. If I like the noise when I next need the map tweeked I will remove the bung for good.

I dont care what my neighbors say or think about my car/exhaust. I love it thats the main thing!
Hope it arrives tomorrow so you can get your car off the axel stands and out for a blast!

Who's your mapper? My last map tweek JGM suggested mapping the car with the bung in as I drive 90% of the time like that then taking the bung out and having a look/tweek to make sure it's safe to drive. Would be worth suggesting at your next session so you've the option of running both ways safely & no worries of overboosting etc.

Hi Dan
Started reading this thread and the further on I got I was sure that it must have been from ourselves you had bought it, then the last post sounded familiar.
Again, apologies for the issues we had on Thursday.
More importantly, have you got it on yet? And are you happy with the sound if you have????
Thanks
Keith
