you guys using an S206 with the 2.1, are you finding it laggy at all, where abouts are you hitting 1 bar and 1.5 bar on non AVCS heads
for the guys with AVCS heads same question

This build isn't very common stateside, and it's something that I've been looking to accomplish. So we're looking at a 79 mm crankshaft with standard 92 mm pistons correct?

2.1 seems to be the one for you then, unless you can pick up an EJ2.2 and stroke that to a 2.3 but thats alot more expensive than the 2.1, the 2.1's are getting increasingly common over here just now with some good results being produced from them

If I really wanted to go crazy, there is a local tuner who de-stroked a EJ2507 to a 2.3L, IIRC with a EJ207 crankshaft. He revs well into 10 grand range. I'll try and find a dynograph and video. He has them floating around somewhere.

i dare say thats only because of the price of the ej22 block, they may be more available over in the states but as he said, no reason you couldnt stroke a 2.5l block to 2.3 for an ideal balance of torque and revs

EJ22s are hard to find around here, and sell for almost as much as a used EJ25 shortblock. Not to mention the Phase I design makes aftermarket parts hard to come by. But oh how I would love a fully closed deck, lol.
