Mog couldnt handle the power of a Subaru so we went for a tame/slower FWD car. Lovely looker the Focus RS, would suit the wife; she doesnt like to drive too fast.

I think one of the EVO team bought an STI hatch with his own pocket money.

330s : 30-70 in 3.9 seconds - do it man !

Have these issues been addressed or is it becoming the norm? I really like the JDM Spec C but I guess the 330S is the nearest we'll get without an Import (which I don’t want).
Thanks,

Had my Euro hatch STI for 18 months now and not gone pop yet. I think its a great car.
Resale value is great. Its probably worth almost as much as i paid for it.
Its a ballistic machine thats cheap to run. 30 MPG over the last 9000 miles average.
Motorpoint have just got 2 x 330 Eurospec STIs in at £23000 each.
If you look on Autotrader you wont see secondhand ones for that price.
As for the Focus. All wheelspin and understeer.

Just make sure these are not the ones they have had for about 2 years now as they will have **** all warranty left on them. I enquired about a silver one there last June/July, lovely motor but only had 20 months warranty on it back then, warranty starts from when they hit the UK shore and not when registered.

Still a bargain though.

Motorpoint have got a what what and what?

I've never heard of a 330 eurospec STI ?

This a new model?

I've just searched their website, they have 2 SE spec Euro STI's...

Not 330 bhp as far as I'm aware, just the standard 295

Just been speaking to the salesman and he assures me they are 330BHP, but they are from Malta so assume they are the Eurospec (18" alloys Satnav and recaros etc). They have only just come in. He didnt know any more than that

I'd suggest he's talking bollox..

There is only one 330bhp subaru warrantied performance pack (supplied by Prodrive), and it's in the 330s (a limited edition, built for and badged as such in the UK, no one else, certainly not for Malta)

Subaru Technica International's performance pack is 295bhp (STI)

There are no others

Sounds like you salesman has been doing a bit too much pub talking to his mates, and has confused fact with fiction..

Next week Motorpoint will be stocking the 380s

To be honest I had the same thoughts as you but it says "save £8000 in the add" and so i called him. Anyway he read out the technical spec from the exporter and it definately said 330BHP.
Good price if its true.
My guess is it is.

It's not...it cannot be.

If Motorpoint are right (which I do not beleive for one minute) Subaru have released a 2.5l performance pack for the STI, without informing anyone? no motoring press... no import specialists...only motorpoint... LOL... sorry..no... he's being misslead or reading the spec from a 330s sheet.

The other thing to watch with motorpoint, they have a nasty habit of putting STi pictures up flogging WRX's, with devil hidden in the detail. On the other hand I bought my WRX Hawkeye from them, and they were as good as gold.
