To experience parallax for yourself, set up two pencils, for example, so as when you view them, one is behind the other. A distance of abour 5cm between them will do.
Now, wiothout moving the pencils, simply move your head to one side, or the other. See how the pencils now appear to separate? That's parallax error.
Thanks bud, well put. For the less advanced, look at a kitchen clock from the side, the time will be slightly different to the time if you look straight on. Therefore, dont be late for work by looking at the clock from the side!

Well the result, it looks like I had plumed the gauge into the wrong pipe (after reading some other threads) I had used the one from the actuator... the result no different

foot down 4th gear over 5500rpm it just manages 0.6 the only difference now is it reads negative pressure which it wasnt before

I managed to evade the cameras and dodge the points.....

Where exactly have you now T'd your boost gauge into? Is it into the vac line that goes to the DV? If not it needs to be (unless you have spare nipple on the IM (which I'm guessing you don't - obviously?)

I was gonna go through your post on saturday, I have previously checked the pipework but some of the rubber pipes seems a bit stiff like they have gone brittle, not sure if thats by design or age

EEEK specialist wallets gonna take a bashing lol

The picture below isn't mine I took it of another thread but it is exactly where I have fitted the pipe.

As the boost guage measures vacuum and boost it can be "T"d on to any offtake from the inlet manifold so that it has direct access to the inlet manifold and not after other boost sourcing apparatus eg. WG actuator.
As long as the boost guage pipe can see directly in to the inlet manifold through a "T" feeding something else that is satisfactory.
As regards your lack of boost problem it may be an issue with your plumbing but it needs someone that knows what they are doing to look at it because giving written advice is unlikely to be successful.
