You DO! have a UKDM 208bhp Turbo 2000!!! - the "K" indicates this.
Can you post a pic of your car's exteior/interior/engine - that will be enough to determine what turbo you should have fitted (assuming nothing's been modified so as to alter it's MY visual identity).

You defo have a ph.1 MY96. So it should have a TD05H 16g fitted - the best option of the 2 turbos mentioned, with a 350bhp potential! ![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)
To confirm if it's a UKDM... If you look at your instrument binnacle, from left to right, can you tell me what the 4 dials are? Does the speedo dial go up to "160"
Also, does the centre dash area have the "Bright" button?

Just went and had a look, Left to right - temp, revs, speed, fuel. It goes to 160mph and it has the bright button under the temp controls. So it will be ok to stick with this turbo for 300-350bhp gains? What mods are worth starting off with? il be getting bit by bit for now.
cheers!![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)

Yep the "K" in the model code, order of dials, speedo markings and bright button do indeed confirm you have a ph.1 MY96 208bhp/201lb ft UKDM Turbo 2000. ![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)
You'd need:-
Walbo fuel pump
Cone air filter
Replacement 2.5+ bar MAP sensor
550cc injectors (440s should see 350 potential but would be pretty much rinsed out - best to get 550s)
NGK PFR7B spark plugs
Decat downpipe
Full aftermarket exhaust (centre/back box)
Front mount intercooler (FMIC)
ESL Live or Apexi Power FC or Simtek ECU
When all of the above is fitted/mapped, you're looking at up to 350bhp (if lucky). But expect, typically, 320-340 (with a little less lb ft of torque).

Or, if you don't wanna spend out on all those mods, and instead still keep your exisiting 2.2bar MAP sensor/380cc injectors/panel filter/airbox/TMIC, then you should see up to 280bhp and similar lb ft - that's still a fab increase of c.70bhp or some 35% over stock!

The cone filter/injectors/decat/FMIC (and ECU) would all need to be fitted last - ideally before the day of the map. These items, once fitted, HAVE to be mapped ASAP, as they will have right leaned out the air-fuel mixture!
If you find you can't avoid driving after they're fitted, then keep off boost (if you have a gauge fitted make sure it never gets out of -ve inlet manifold pressure i.e. showing no more than 0 bar/psi).

Okidokie! cheers....What do you think about this polar performance chip? I was looking at getting the ecu with PP chip already fitted. So then I guess its just straight swap with the ecus? and 30-50bhp gains. Its pretty cheap to thats why im wondering if I should get this first as ive got the cash to get it now....

Yes, I had the PP chip too, at first (as have many others). As you say, if you buy a replacement 4-plug ECU with the PP chip pre-installed, then it's a straight swap. I can't remember if, on the UK cars, you have to swap around the pin-outs in the ECU for the cam and crank sensors though... ![Ponder2](images/smilies/ponder2.gif)
It runs 1.1bar (about 60% extra boost than your car currently runs!) and you'll defo notice it!
If you fit a Walbro, PFR7B plugs, decat and system, then it should make anywhere between 260-290, typically.
FTR, the chip's been designed around Esso Supreme 97... but any 97+ RON fuel is fine to use...
