I'm fairly certain the red line of the 09 Fiesta "Courtesy" model was raised to 16,000rpm

give it a ragging and see how long before you can bust it. That's the general rule with courtesy cars isn't it?

Of course this does mean you`ll be able to roar round your neighbourhood wheelspinning and playing your chooons really loud late at night and then park it outside a neighbours ( one that you don`t like ) then watch what happens. LOL
Not that I would do such a thing of course.

The best thing is being able to park near the entrance to super markets, rather than miles away

You have to put McDonalds trays under the rear wheels for the drifting effect on these don't you?

Just don't do what that bloke did and roll it! Look for it on Youtube!

When Karen's car was being repaired I went over to collect the courtesy car (one of 4, don't ask ). Whilst they were completing the paperwork I overheard a conversation between two members of staff, who was talking about a customer who was given a courtesy car but managed to write that off too within 24 hours of it being delivered.

59 plate Punto with less then 1k on the clock

There is an upside to the story, it's one less Punto on the road

whats the deal with that. Is it the bodyshops insurance or your insurance as covered as "drive any other car third party"?

I had somebody hit me while driving a hire car once, was all done through them but are courtesy cars different?

With us, the car provided by the Insurance company came with insurance. The one's provided by the Body Shop will be covered on your insurance.

Just be aware, Karen's insurance company wanted to charge her a £48 admin fee just for transferring the policy from her car (which was off the road due to the damage caused by the other driver) over to the body shop car. Clearly there was no way we were going to pay this sort of money. Even more so after we went through 3 seperate vehicles (again, don't ask ) Just stand your ground, refuse to pay, eventually they'll cave it.

Just out of interest, which repairers has it gone too?

When I had mine done, if I had used the insurers recommended repairer then my insurance co would have covered the replacement car, but as I chose to use a local repairer and not their recommended repairer, then they wouldn't cover the insurance, but fortunately the repairing bodyshop did! - but not all are like that - so best check just to be sure!
