Yes. After you stop and 70mph and he continues and kills someone two miles later. Your fate is sealed when a 'witness' who saw you both identifies you as the person wth whom he was racing and you find yourself in the dock charged with the tool, in a joint venture. It happens.

The thing that impressed me about the scoob when i first got it and my favourite party piece is:
When i'm driving down the dual carriageway in the outside lane overtaking all the slower moving cars in the nearside lane.
The traffic lights turn to red ahead and i slow and stop into the nearside lane waiting for green.
Meanwhile the traffic that i have previously overtaken are bearing down on me now in the outside lane, they are thinking they have the beating of me and they are assuming they can just pass me as the lights go to green before i can get off the line.
How wrong they are, i gun it when the lights turn to green, and from a standing start, even they are moving at a fair rate, i still leave them for dust.
This never fails to put a grin on my face everytime it happens

Funniest thing i can remember was being out in a mates 440bhp WRX and this corsa pulls up along side full of muppets at a set of lights reving the bollocks off his kitted out chav wagon so my mate gave the right pedal acoulpe of blips running full de-cat plus anti lag and let off his nitros perge thingy and the dump valve sounding like it was about to blow the bonnet off, the lad in the corsa quickly stopped reving his engine and we both set off normal when the lights changed ....you had to be there i guess

Fair comment I can not argue with that one bit. I must be doing something wrong as i never get anything that is a similar or more powerful car try it on only young punks in corsa's, astra's, focus's with big bore exhausts and at that point I just let them pass as it's not worth loosing my lisence to prove something I already know.

Just let them go, remind yourself what exactly you're attempting to prove to these little turds and just have a smug thought or two, you have NOTHING to prove to them, it's them attemping to prove what arseh0les they are and generally they are quite successful at it. the Scooby has rally heritage that they don't have or ever will, leave them to their 5 minutes of fame. Enjoy your cars and your driving. If you get one on your back wave them on, they love that, the insult of not bothering to have the time for them.

If you drive like a 2hat then perhaps you should stay at home with your kids so others can get home safely to see theirs

Well funily enough i had a vxr all over my spoiler through a 30 leaving work today, and whilst the adult in me was saying just let him go. I thought he is obviouly a chav trying to race in a 30 and clearly he needs to know he is..

we happened to be comming up to my favourtie bit of road (which is a set of duel carrage ways) on my way home and i thought to myself, its quiet and conditions are ok.. **** it lets see what he has got booted it not paying particular atention to revs vs changes.. and was quite suprised to see him pritty close. Although as i up'd my game i started to pull away slowly.. judging by the way he was driving he was tring everything to keep up swerving breaking late dispite the traffic comming up what a c**k. he conviniantly turned of after about a mile. I bet he is on the internet now thinking how do i get more power out of it... I know go faster strips and a burbary cap that i'l do it.

The VXR is a fast car no two ways about it. I am not one for dangerous driving if it comes to that let him have it. but i do feel obliged to keep the sccoby legacy alive (no pun intended). and i am pleased to say i did.

When it comes to lossing the licence.. well fart the wrong way and someone trys to slap three points on your ****..

Safe driving to one and all

I normally let anyone who is pushing for a race go, but I did bite a couple of weeks ago.

Picture the scene, one lorry overtaking another going up-hill, I am waiting patiently behind the lorry on the right when a dirty red Volvo comes up behind driving a bit to close for my liking. I can't go anywhere due to the lorry in front (which is making progress). While the lorry was completing its manoeuvre I had already dropped to third and planned to demonstrate how quickly my waggon could shift up the hill, which it did with consummate ease. The Volvo couldn't keep up.

I crested the hill and dropped back to 80 and the Volvo came back into view. I had no interest in racing and neither did the Volvo, the blue lights behind the grill made that abundantly clear!

We had a chat and I was let off with a bollocking and I have to pay respect the officers in the car who were not patronising in the slightest, just honest and fair.

Sorry, but regardless of the scenario, 90-100mph in a 30 is fcukin' obscene You deserve to lose your licence for actions like that

I've finally managed to shake off the urge to race people. I think.
There is one truth out there. The fastest thing on the road is an Astramax diesel van. It doesn't matter what you do on the motorway, just look in your mirror, and there he is again. The only way to shake him off is to stop for a coffee, and hope he doesn't do the same thing.

Have any of you heard about Christian Driving. This was originally espoused by Sir Cliff on Top Gear. It has very little to do with God, but an awful lot to do with Karma. In principle it works as follows:

Pr@t in [insert car type here] hammers up to your bumper in a 30, and then welds himself to it, glaring intently over his steering wheel to let you know you should be driving at at least 40 (possibly flashes lights, may even use horn). At this point instigate Christian Driving mode. Give way and yield to everyone in front of you, slow for old people who might be thinking of crossing. Let all cars turn right, or pull out of side roads. And above all drive at between 27 and 29 mph, remember 30 is the limit, not the minimum. Then watch tw@t behind you have an aneurism or stroke.

Honestly, it is a lot more fun than beating them from the lights, (which BTW allows you to stay in front of them and continue the fun).

I like it...

I do make a point of going 29mph in my village... some others feel 50 is a more approprate speed.. at which point they find me going 20

The closer they get (or the faster they catch me) the slower they find me going...

If they've still not got the point by the time we reach my lane, I slow to a crawling pace (it is actually a blind entrance so I'm not taking rthe pi$$ tooo much )... oh they get angry... shame...

I like that alot as the added bennefit is they have there anyurisum/stroke and then go head on into the first wall..

Where i live there is a top limit of 35mph and in some areas its 25mph.

I am not going to say i stick to them all the time but sometimes you get the odd tw@t in a banged up old fiesta/shed come up behind you at about 50-60mph and then make it obvious they want to overtake you... if i am in any car other than my Scooby i go slow.. but if i am in my Scooby i go even slower..

There is the odd time when i get fed up and just give it a little but thats only if its late and no one around..

The best car for the channel islands is the Daihatsu Wagon R. I drive one in Alderney when we visit the outlaws, 35 feels like 70 in a normal car, tiny tires, low grip, huge fun at walking speed. Hate to guess what they feel like in the real world though.

I would clarify that the only thing faster than an astramax is a mercedes sprinter long wheel base with three guys in the front.

This is a wind up, 90-100 in rush hour traffic in Central Manchester you'd be lucky to get to 20.
