Why do you need to take it that far like without driving?

I got the AA to take me from Birmingham to Glasgow a couple of years ago using their national recovery service, fair enough I do live in Scotland but they were quite happy to take me wherever I wanted to go.

Only issue I had was they change recovery trucks at certain places and they took ages to get the next guy along to pick me and the car up for the rest of the journey.

Still not bad for a few quid a month.

RAC took mine from Trax silversone last year (bottom end knocking) to engintunner. I live in Tiverton so drove past my town to get to Plymouth no problem. Had 2.1 stroker done well worth it.

Dont enginetuner offer a national collection service?!
Or why not just send your block and anything else on a pallet, an get them to send it back when built, and have someone more local to you fit it?

Just had a look on their site and now there is no mention of collection! Remember reading something once which said they would collect if you 'broke it big style'! Guess they got so popular they figured you could take it to them! Sure Andy Forrest could map it for you

get it transported on the back of a truck? how much do the charge? never had it done,

thats me out of ideas
anyone got any?
I recently drove to Cornwall and back, 250 miles each way and £100 in petrol. If you can get it towed for £200 than thats got to be a good deal and it keeps the mileage off the car

i think the best and prob the cheapest is to take an AA recovery out say a month before i book the car in, drive to a serivce st in perth make a bull**** story about going in the engine bay and hearing the bottom end knocking and when the turn up just say i was on my was to devon and see if they will take the car down there for me,

any good yous think?

Just say you heard the noise and want it to go to enginetuner as they are the ones you want to repair it! Simples!
