this is sad because a woman has lost her life but it is an animal a KILLER whale clue is in the title this statement takes nothing away from the fact that a poor woman has lost her life when will people learn that zoo's and shows are cruel to animals and eventually they will show there frustration

It will more than likely be sold off to another display along way away and given a new name etc. Sounds like that is exactly what happened after the first time it killed when owned by another sea life venue in North America.
It shouldn't be destroyed and it can't be rehabilitated back into the wild so it will end up having a miserable life moving from display to display across the World.

They're wild animals: we will never totally understand or be able to predict their behaviour 100% If you work with them, (even in a controlled environment) you take your chances.
The trainer knew that - and died doing something she loved and in the process inspired love and admiration for a remarkable species that 99% of the time shows a curiosity and placidity towards us bite sized humans that betrays their name and fearsome reputation in wild.
RIP and condolences to her family and friends.

^^^ the same goes for any animal that is strong enough to do serious damage or kill people. No one should ever trust their pet dog for the very same reasons, you can not predict what any animal will do or what it will take to make them turn out of 'character'. No matter how good my dog is with my kids I will never leave her own her own in the same room as my kids. No one should.

i leave my dog with my daughter all the time they grew up together he's about 4 months older than her and they are now 6 when she goes to bed he sleeps outside her door trust me no one he doesn't know or trust will ever get in her room or in the house for that matter you have to trust dogs especially if you have had them since 8 weeks he is like a son to me and is treated like one the little fat git lol

yes but you are completely missing the point, it's an animal that can be flipped by an unknown factor just like all the dogs that kill children which were much loved and 'trusted' pets.It doesn't matter how long you've had it or how well behaved or loyal it is, dogs are prone to having triggers that turn them into a different beast with devasting results. Thankfully it is a rare occurence but you will never know about a trigger until it is too late and for that reason you should not trust a dog any more than any other animal that could do serious damage to a person.
Just as an example, a dog at a rehoming/rescue centre I was involved with sometime ago was in there because it ripped it's owners face off. A much loved loyal pet which went beserk when the owner accidentally rubbed it's ears a certain way and that turned out to be a trigger that caused it to visciously attack its owner.

look dogs dont kill or harm people its the owners that tret there dogs like **** that make them snap you see all the horror stories but when you see the owners and the fact that the dogs are either rehomed dogs or outside dogs only so again owners causing usually soft loyal pets to react due to there treatment
