don't like LCD myself, they look ****e on anything other than the finest HD sources.

Nice very nice is it your tv....Thinking about it my mate got a philips went round his house and it looks good,excellent picture said he paid near a grand for it .Never thought about getting a philips either but now i am....

Not mine, Google pic, probably a Philips promo. Personally, I wouldn't have an LCD as my main TV as when I compare them, to me LCD's look like a really good photo, but a quality plasma is like looking through the window at the real life scene. I've viewed this set and it is lovely, but the 21:9 is mostly useless except for watching movies, and even some of those aren't 2.35:1. I'd go for one of the new Panasonic THX certified Freeview HD sets, when they bring a 65" one out anyway. I have a Philips 32" LCD in the bedroom though, and it is a very good TV, but not a patch on my Pana 50" plasma downstairs.

Yeah, I know they usually foof up the first ones. Sony couldn't get it right (no surprise there though) and ended up using Pioneer electronics in their SD Freeview HDD recorders. Panasonics are still full of glitches.
