Interesting Hammer, Kos said it worked on his. What size panel did you have and was the battery 'good' in the first place? As they dont charge from flat they simply top up

It looks the same size. I got it from Maplins for a few £s. I think you will be right about the battery though, as I tried the solar panel on what I now consider was a naff battery. I changed the battery after Id given up with the solar panel. I had the old battery tested and they said it was ok, but I have my doubts. If it does work for you, I was planning to hard wire the panel to the battery with a "disconnection switch" in the dash, and I would of just left it in the rear window. I hope it works for you though, and like you say, "batteries grrrrr"....

He mapped my car twice before, and both times were very satisfactory. In fact it was Pat who discovered the compression loss due to gizzmo. If he hadnt discovered it, who knows what could of happened. However this is only a run-in map and I believe Bob will do the final map on the simtek.....
I took the car off the road after finding the compression loss. That was March 2010. Since then Ive been saving up funds, and Ive been "adding" to the job as its been going on. The car went to API in Jan and I told David to take his time as I was still a bit underfunded, and rushing some things aint wise. I hated being rushed when I was in the trade. Then Ive added to the build as time went on so the cost has increased...

Nowt wrong with being nosey, unless your a cat. I was "many many years ago" a car body repairer. I worked in Leam restoring Healeys and MG`s. I then spent a couple of years at a garage where we used to race-prep porsche cars. As I say it was ages ago, but I still remember being rushed by customers and it would cause problems with the finished result.
