My 2005 sti will also be mapped soon. Its been in the garage for about six weeks now. Iv had the following mods:
Front mount intercooler
Cold air induction kit
True 3' blitz nur spec r turbo back
MD321T turbo
ACT six puk paddle clutch
Exedy lightweight flywheel
Lateral performance 58mm intake pipe
Denso 740cc injectors
Ceramic coated GT spec headers and up pipe
3 port boost solenoid
VTA oil catch tank
NGK irridium spark plugs
3 bar map sensor
Above are all engine mods amongst a few other things
Silkolene pro s engine oil
Motul gear 300 gearbox oil
Motul 90 pa diff oil
AP racing 355mm 6 pot front brake setup with ds2500 pads, performance friction rear pads and dot 5.1 fluid
18' innovit redlines with falcon 452's
Defi style uk hawkeye speedo with matching amber dash dials
Carbon fibre front slitter
Carbon fibre front de badged grille
Carbon fibre prodrive radiator cooling panel
Carbon fibre wing mirrors
Carbon fibre pillar trims
Carbon fibre rear spats
Carbon fibre exhaust heat shield
Custom ram air ducts in place of fog covers
De tangoed sprayed satin black headlight mod
Looking forward to driving her once again after so long and and with the power hike.
I also wanted to replace my prodrive springs with coilovers but cant do this until december as thats when i will be returning off my holiday. Will also then be buying the wheels i want to replace the temporary inovites.
While im posting i just wanted to know if i would be ok driving roughly 20 miles off boost before i have it mapped?

20g with the standard ECU is fine. There are gains to be had with aftermarket ECUs of course, but not necessary. Unless of course you want to run more than 1.55 bar without turning safety features off lol.
Newage STi's are a lot more responsive with big turbo than old classics due to the AVCS.
Also, the 20G turbo doesn't suffer from compressor surge like the standard vf35 and so comes on boost harder once it spools.
Lots more to say on the subject.. but honestly.. I'm on my phone and can't be bothered lol

You will spool sooner with the ported headers for sure. But the GT spec headers with flow more top end and will make slightly more power. If you're sticking with the TMIC you will make less power too, but should have better response.
Was that WR1 running it on straight V-Power? Good result if it was!

Muttly turbo I kno a place in Wolverhampton. Go to A and A MOT garage by Timmins waste (just off the Penn road) and ask them to sort it out for you because they know the chap and he does it cheaper for them.
