Morning folks, there is a bit of background to all this.
The chap (madmerlin) that setup worsc scoobies was a member of WMI (until he recently left after a fall out with myself, once again).
I dont have the time or feel the need to bad mouth a new club unlike some people this is not my life, my family and charity work and my reputation are far more important to me. Therefore I do not appreciate being accused of such.
My concern is not competition, we are charity based (until that is copied too), some distance from them and imho we are one of the best UK clubs out there!
What is a concern is that the club in question has blatantly
1) copied our website, wording and ideas.
2) made sly comments about WMI, the way its run and myself.
3) The lack of loyalty a few WMI members have displayed.
I am not going to get involved in petty arguments over petty issues. My sole aim is to raise money for charity and promote Subaru heritage. When the time comes that this is no longer everyones main focus I will quite willingly hand over the baton to someone else who thinks they can do a better job than me. I just hope they have enough money. time, influence, organisational skills and a very understanding partner as this role is a far from easy one.
I agree with the above comments that we are better than this, airing dirty laundry etc etc and so this conversation/subject stops here!
Good luck to you all.

Ok then, there has been a fair amount of disrespectful chatter regarding myself on here, so I feel it is my right to have my say.
First of all H can I put you straight on one VERY important point, I did NOT start this club, Rob did, Now for any of you who don’t know Rob, he is a totally top bloke who is in the forces, he has already done several tours, two of which were of Afghanistan, and could well be back there again very soon, now this guy (as well as every other member of the forces) puts his life on the line every single day just so you boys can go to your meets, pay your £2.50 into a bucket and pat yourself on the back for doing such a worthwhile job… Now to actively try to kill his club before it gets going is so disrespectful I am lost for words.
Which brings me nicely onto my second point.. a quick lesson in geography, WMI is in the Midlands, but more importantly Birmingham, most meets will occur within a 10 / 15 mile radius of Bham. Hereford and Worcestershire is another COUNTY.. Just as is Yorkshire, Essex and Middlesex, after a few conversations with some of the guys I can confirm that most of the members have never been to a wmi meet due to the fact that they would have to travel 120+ mile round trip for a meet, just as many wmi members would have to travel similar distances to one of our meets. So to say we are “Competition” is not only very childish but also very wrong.
And just as a very quick sideline, if the type of guys frequenting wmi now are anything like the guys who posted such nasty comments yesterday (with the exception of a couple) we wouldn’t want them at one of our meets. I mean really, you call yourself a “friendly club”
Regarding the website, First of all this is a first draft and wont end up looking like this, but a small piece of history for those of you who don’t know me… I first joined WMI in the early days (Long before most of you guys) I set up the website for the club, paid for it myself for the “good of the club” ( actually thinking about it I am probably still the legal owner of the web address as ive never signed over anything- don’t fret you can have it )
I left due to a personal reason, now H fyi I have never discussed our issue although I would have had every right to do so, I decided to be the “bigger man” and let it go. So why do you insist on trying to put the boot in at every possible moment, look back at the comments – you started the comments regarding us a 20.41 last night. Oh and um the comment “Once Again” I only remember the one fallout – the one when I left the club, please don’t paint me out to be a trouble maker, I did nothing but good for your club.
Now you have done a huge amount for charity and continue to do so, which I commend you on, but can we please all get over this, leave it alone and get on with our own lives, as I said to you in a pm a while ago life’s too short to be bitter, I have moved on please try to do likewise.
Good luck with all future ventures, and keep up the good work regarding your charities.
