After that rarther fun time driving through the tunnels it has got me thinking about "Anti-Lag"....Someone correct me if I am wrong, when I booted it through the tunnels it would of made the car send flames out of the back? I had an ECU and mapped by Duncan last week and I am booked in for the 19th to tweek it,so if this along with launch controll is out by then I was thinking of having it....Is there a button to flick to get it to go in to Anti lag ?...Be bloody daft if it came out with the plodd behind ! Even better with my windows ! Naughty me lol

Sorry bud just read the above (I'm on my phone) wasn't trying to be cocky, all I'm saying is people get hung up on figures and different dyno will tell you different things (and raise ego's) the vf35 is a 350bhp turbo, fact, I know, been there done it (via litchfields) power to weight is where its at re cups no worries man, coffee has been on boil for to long!

I say 400bhp as it's a nice figure but if it's less I'm not going to complain as long as it pulls hard and there isn't loads of lag, I love the way Andys car pulls but would like to get on boost sooner! I'm thinking of going with the md321h turbo as it's 400bhp capable and boosts nice and early. The car is a daily driver and it would be nice to not break my legs whilst sat in traffic and trying to work the clutch lol

Tom, the MD321H is old tech now, get yourself one of the ScoobyClinic Billets, they are kicking ***! They always do the job! I saw a 420bhp newage on the dyno at Powerstation which came on boost quicker than mine, and made more power all over the rev range. It had an SC42 Billet..
Clutch wise.. I've run an Exedy organic for over 3 years, it takes a lot of abuse, but I would probably go for something a bit better for the higher power. Just burn yours out first lol.
Internals wise I wouldn't say you need to go forged until a good bit after 400bhp on the newage STi engine. JGM was running 500+ for 20k on his standard 03 STi block and it just wouldn't die lol, he just ended up swapping it because it wouldn't break. Plenty plenty plenty of people running well above 400s in standard block, the key is just maintaining it, services etc - ensuring all up to temp before booting. Strong engines when looked after.
My list for 400ish would be something like this:
650cc injectors
FPR
Front mount
SC42/6 billet turbo
Remap or better still an aftermarket ECU
PS there is no such thing as cheating when it comes to getting more power out of your car - who are you cheating against exactly? Unless we're in competition with each other? Which we're not !

Are plastic boob jobs not cheating . yep
No competition here my brother, I've been around the block far to many times for that, and owned many imprezas (including uk blobs) with various power outputs maybe I'm far to 'old school' but I will stand by my word, meths is not a true reflection of what a car can 'actually' do, sorry if it upsets you buts its my opinion

Lol! I was typing a reply about the *****, but it was errrr... inappropriate lmao.
You know what I mean about competition, I don't think anyone here has any mentality close to wanting to "win" at having the fastest car in the club etc. We've had that discussion the more money you have the faster your car. But as we've always said, there's always something out there that is faster than you, and afterall what does being the fastest give you? Nothing! Far too many have stupid fast cars yet don't enjoy them (evident by how quick they sell them after they've finished building it.)
Meth is always something we'll debate over lol but it's not something I would get upset about I use it because it gives me more power, for lower fuel costs For similar performance to what I have now I would have to have spent over £1.5k in additional mods.. so that's where I am coming from with my positive view for it. It's not for everyone, but it is definitely for me
