I also however blame the Marshalls, they should have black flagged these two cretins.

That video is a prime example of how not to drive on a public non competitive track day.

You know the risks when you take your car on. The guy in the car with the camera has a carbon fibre focus on ebay for £60,000. He does a lot of competing.Thats why you should get insyrance to cover your track days. As for not being competitive, when your on the track and having a good battle, its competitive, maybe not for funds or trophies but for the sheer fact that you dont want to lose. Your saying if a guy in an evo was chasing you hard, youd pull in and let him buy, I think not.. It always looks worse on the video than real life. Knockhill.... TOP CIRCUIT...Well driven Charlie shaw and Andy gallagher..
where abouts cant find it?

That looked like a lesson in just how badly a cossie can be driven...

The car we were in was smooth, controlled, the driver seamed to be aware of the impending tight spots/slower cars, and he was a good deal quicker as a result... the leading cossie.. well.. was that rear bias on the brakes? to induce 4 wheel drifting?.. totally out of control..driving on the ragged edge..and would do anything to not let the 2nd car through (and the 2nd car knew that, backing off way to early sometimes, we all know what he was thinking... is it this corner he's off or the next)
The number of times he left the track... one of the chicanes being cut so much even his outside tires were on the grass... Accident waiting to happen.. and will probably take someone else off at the same time.

Wasn't he just trying to unsettle the car so it would "drift" in the corners? The smoke belching from the zorst toward the end though was a worry ...

Have to agree with Daz on this one, public track days are just that-for the public. You're still meant to have respect for the other drivers, not tail-gate them then narrowly miss them. If it was a race, then that's totally different. But also agree that the driver of the camera car looks pretty damn good, he could have over-taken the other guy a couple times, but may have ended up being shunted off the track by him, he looked pretty out of control, just so the camera guy couldn't pass him.

This is it. Item number 270535545953... This is the cheaper of the 2. The other one was either 80k or 100k. And if i remember correctly it was 100k.

I've not been on a track yet but I intend to in the near future. I can honestly say if I was on a lap and I saw this happening, I would wait till the pits and be next to daz, tap dancing on their faces.

I fail to see how you can say the guy in front was a good driver? The only thing he didn't do was stack it JUST...which isn't the only sign of a good driver in my eyes, it was luck more than judgment. I don't think he had braking issues either, I think he was just trying to brake too late and constantly locking up...

Don't get me wrong, if they were in a class better suited to their level, then fking rock on...but not when the next closest car was a fking XR2.

Ive gotta agree too, I thought that was terrible driving from the guy infront! Camera car was much more controlled, but I was sat expecting the lead cossie to fly off at any minute, and was not surprised in the slightesst when it started belching smoke!

The camera car was driven better, didnt fly off the track like the lead car, and the female passenger definately got a **** off in there at some point

Tony

Have any of you ever seen Andy Gallagher drive? No one see him in Time Attack last year.....

These two guys are friends - having a laugh. Both cars were off track, both cars were sideways. Yes, the style of driving might not be put up with on the likes of a 'normal' trackday but that vid looks to be from one of KH's speed sundays. I'm sure you have seen some of the other vids from these.... they are worse. They really cant drive! 'Team Gimp' ring any bells

In short. The driving is 'spirited' but they are both good drivers, and look to be in control to me. They have both done some of our TrackScotland trackdays before and both drove accordingly.

Thankfully KH changed a lot after these vids did the rounds first time. They are much much stricter now. I've done 1 speed sunday/hot hatch before, never again.

How does the fact that they are great drivers make it ok to drive like that on a public track day?

If it was just them two on track i'd have no problem whatsoever. The fact of the matter is these two driving the way they were put other drivers at risk and that is totally unacceptable no matter how good you are!!
