I know what it's got
part of the fun is the element of surprise
I get a lot of 'that's not an STi'
I would leave it WRX for no other reason than stealth.
SNAP! One of the best things about the D is it doesn't shout about it's performance.
De-badge it

Good point, what's the lowest power new age you can get? I'd love that on my boot
Do they still do the 1.6 fwd ones?

I like the badging personally, but it is a 50/50 choice.
I had my WRX wagon badged as a WRX 280 after remap. It what I would go for.

Most punters outside the Subaru community don't really know the difference anyway, except one's got gold wheels and a bigger spoiler.
I'd say the early classics were very stealth. Kind of 'Q cars'.
Then the body kits got bigger and the spoilers more gigantic and you end up with the hefty, overstated, max-powery later newage cars.

i agree with the insurance remarks.if you got a nice car and you obviuosly spend the money on it and look after it i think it would be a risk.not only that but cars are sometimes stolen too order and if yours is seen driving round with the sti livery .well.....if you still want put the badge on just think wether you should notify insurance,.any changes or mods and they can refuse to pay if you havent disclosed them
