Mine will only do 125mph due to the gearing ....but that's quick enough for any town centre

after being told by a ex wrc engineer that the scoop is useless above 100 and below 30 unless you angle the number plate on the top of bumper to deflect the air better into the scoop i front mounted mine , i sugest the op does the same unless he wants a big bang and a empty wallet lol

Very droll. If you keep doing that youll be looking at a £3,500 engine rebuild, sooner rather than later.

Id take that with a pinch of salt. Ive seen plenty of empirical evidence confirming that this isnt the case (principally inlet temperatures).

i have several gauges that let me know whats going under the bonnet and all where saying things where ok. i know these speeds dont do my car any good and everything has been fine since but ill not say i wont be doing these speeds again because i will just not very often

a forged rebuild and 6 speed box are on the cards as the need for more power grows then who knows what speeds ill get to

So the outcome of the race was:-

STI v5 type R - 1 (new engine)
Newage STI - 0 (no new engine)

Chris, it doesn't matter how many gauges you have, if you don't have the right ones then there is no point having any to start with
