guys been following this thread since the begining as My car is coming up to 4.5K now and is due for its first oil change, Ive looked at Halfords oil but wonder why we dont just buy our oil from Subaru
What do they use Semi or fully synthetic?? my car needs about a pint of oil but I dont know whats in it from the factory so dont want to put a pint of the wrong stuff in

Well, mine's a classic, but they've always recommended Shell Helix semi-synth in 10w-40 weight, depending on the average temperatures in the country where you live. There's a little table in my book. When I have my oil changed it usually gets Silkolene pro-s fully synth 10w-50.
