Well, the old Etonian showed himself without fight, without spirit, without guts, without courage .... perfect Officer material .... Officers aren't made on the playing fields of Eton, they are fiddled with

Cameron was most disappointing, considering the amount of money spent on his education by rich Mummy and Daddy!!

With 432 posts you don't come here anyway!!!

I would be a far greater loss to the community than you - so, I hardly think it's a fair trade .... tell you what, what would be beneficial to SN is if you promise to never post again, whoever wins ............ you can then stand by your brazier claiming you are, somehow, worth £34k

This Tory idea like a lot of there ideas looks good and even appeals at first. But let us take in the context of education.

They suggest if you get enough signatures on a petition you can set up your own school. You can also petition to remove a head teacher or get the school taken over by a better performing school.

Having seen the apathy generated for parents to become part of my children parent/teacher association why would this change under the Tories. Some who do attend have there own agenda and usually surrounds their own children and they try to target there children class solely. This trait is typical human failing as parents are looking after there own, I would not like to give to much power to parent led orginisations as they can easily become the playground of political agenda and downright singular intentions.

What eccentric or lefty/righty/nerds or political lots would get to have there own school all they need is 100,000 signatures, who vets this, is this a quango needing set up to organise and vet applications. Will this mean more jobs for Torys or what happended to removal of quangos under Torys (they have mentioned this but failed to mention ones they need to create) I have not mentioned religion which will surely want to get in on this, I myself would like all religion have no part in Educating children unless they attend out of school.

If you start these new schools you need to finance them, so the present education authorities will be affected so a education cut so to speak in there budget. This has been tried in USA and the performence of such schools hits both spectrums and shows no better than present system we have in place. So why bother and the present take up of groups wishing to do this is extrememly small and particularly targeted for their own agenda.

Getting under performing schools taken over with better run schools. This is already been done and Heads are removed for under performence at present.

It is very hard to get rid of a Head Teacher .... hard to get rid of poor Teachers .... you just hope they move on elsewhere and give them a glowing reference so that they DO go!!

Have paid Governors, people from industry - the Education system needs a sort out ... drag the Teachers screaming and blubbing into the real world (that's if they are not on holiday at the time, of course!!)

So as usual you go for the easy way then Pete. What kind of a way is that to sack someone? Very selfish to give them a reference that they don't deserve. Just makes an endlessly increasing problem. How very NL that is.

When on the subject "in this together". Lets look at two of the backers for Torys non NI rise and wheeled out as best in the knoiw when it comes to the british Economy..

First Diageo they already paid off 400 workers here in Kilmarnock when reporting record profit over the year. Is this a decision on economy no a saving so increasing profit and increasing dividend. A rise in NI is peanuts and would not affect profit margin it all ends up passed on to customer.

Next up Dyson, this is the same person/company who placed there British workforce on redundacy while transfering production to China. This was proposed on savings on manufacture, they are stilll making profit at the time and since transfer I do not see the dyson branded machines on the high street getting cheaper. So again I conclude it was increasing profit yield the decision was made. Hypocrits!

And the Torys expext the working class to agree that these two Tory supporters know best when it comes to trust them on employment. Give us a break, how much condescending conduct do we need to take from individuals who are paid to look after their own interest and that of their shareholders. The UK citizen do not show up on the balance sheet of any of the companies or directors signing support for Tories on non increase to NI.

So we are in it together as long as we do not take any profit from Tory backers. But it don't have the same ring to it does it!

Well you are perfectly free to invent a completely new kind of "vacuum cleaner", re-mortgage your house to pay for the research and development, fight legal battles against people who want to copy your idea, and build a British factory full of British workers.

Except that you can't and you won't!!!

So don't slag off true entrepreneurs, who are trying to get the Great back into Britain!

In the final analysis .... the Tories are NOT in it with us .... they are so detached from the average working man that they could never, ever, be in it with us!!

Vote Lib Dems .... I think they may well walk away with this one!

With the election around the corner it can only get worse.
I am loving the "bash all the parties, then I cant be wrong" approach now being taken too. Hilarious.
