Well done after all your hard work you are now ready to drive her in anger.

The Shell station on Fabian Way is a lot cheaper than anywhere local for V Power.

What's wrong with Tesco 99?

If your car is British I would use normal 95ron.

my uk car has a sticker by the petrol cap and says " use only super unleaded 97ron" so not sure you can use 95 but could be wrong

v-power or vpower/20%e85 mix for me so no wonder i never have no money

I ran my old 95 wrx import on 95 Ron in the end as I was only an apprentice at the time. And that was after I rebuilt it. I'm a proper valley tight git. Lol.

Anyways guys I have a missfire lol.

At tick over she was fine, then under load missing every now and again.
Changed the plugs, and now she missfires nearly all the time.

Gonna change the plugs for new tomorrow, then fit 4 known good coil packs, then I have been told to check the connections to the coil packs to make sure each is correctly attached and also not on the wrong coil pack (I`ve not ever touched them).

So glad this happened AFTER my MOT and NOT before!!! lol. Would be in a world of pain otherwise lol.

ANYWAYS PROBLEM SORTED!!!

Went to Halfords and bought new plugs £40 for 4 OUCH (put in PFR6 as no 7`s in stock and needed it done asap), and went to see my mate Rob cos he was 2 mins up the road from Halfords in Llansamlet, a second set of hands and a second opinion (as hes had a LOT more experience than me with Turbos).

So plugs out, new in, check. Better.
Quick spin fine on tickover, then MISSING!!
Unplug each coil pack to see which didn`t make it tick over worse. FOUND ONE!
Change the coilpack, go for spin, fine then MISSING.
Check coil packs, again same damn coilpack.
At this point we pulled the coil pack off used an old sparkplug to see if its sparking, YES IT WAS.

Me and Rob were shaking our heads.

Pulled the new plug out replaced with old, fine.
Drive around, MISSING.

At this point we thought sod it.

Put the new plug back in, and coil pack on. MINT NO MISSING.
Grabbed the washer bottle, as I put it back in it MISSES AGAIN.

BUT

The washer bottle goes by the loom, give the loom a tug NO MISSING.

PROBLEM SOLVED.
The plug on the injector was all the way on, and missing, pull the plug a tiny bit back and no missing, push on missing, pull off not missing.
So cleaned up the contacts, and WD40 them and she is as she should.

AND OMFG!! She goes like a hellfire missile, propper.
Only downside is watching my fuel gauge drop. lol.

Tbh its NOT as bad as I thought.

My Jeep does 40-80 miles to £20, the Scoob has done 100 miles to £40 (still have over 1/4 tank left). So not too bad, considering what I`ve been up to lol.

I have a free pass tonight but haven't touched my car in 3 weeks so I need to work on it, I'll pop up next week some time!

Do you have a replacement gearbox in stock?

ps I've not done anything with the m62, not fully turbo'd up the v6 yet but the plan is to twin charge the v6 or failing that use it straight on the v8

Attacked my car with a few cans of Matt Black today, and some electrical products.

This is what all the door jams, boot, and bonnet edge looked like.

This is her now.

Also fitted my old Sony CDX M850 4th car its into now!! lol.

Also fitted a Nokia bluetooth in car phone kit, one of the propper hard wired jobbies.

My bonnet arrived today, so trial fitted my scoop.
Got some damage to repair to the bonnet before I can fit it.

Also had these arrive yesterday, full set of Goodridge brake hosing.
My FAV colour.

Small update, cars running nicely finally, decat downpipe on, and will be having an oil change and brake pipe/fluid change.

Also.

Hehehehehe Ebay BARGAIN.

STI version 2 seats front and back and door cards £150 delivered.
The STANDARD seats go for that, with STI going for a LOT more from what I`ve seen so I`m happy.

Give them some TLC and a damn good valet and she`ll be all there bar a respray.

2nd that - looks good, With the water getting im my boot and making the liner and everything smell damp I ditched the liners and painted the inside of the boot in Matt black, boot floor and wheel well too, much better - also ditched the lil' spare wheel and have a can of tyre weld strapped to the side for any nasty surprises !! Keep up the good work

Cheers guys

Next on the cards will be an oil change, fitting a magnetic sump plug, bashing my sump pan flat, and removing the tinware under the clutch as its scraping the flywheel.

Then back to fault diagnosis lol.

Have an annoying boost cut at 4500-5000rpm, no matter what the boost is, damn Injectors again I think.

Also have a worrying rattle at idle, quite concerning, dunno if its oil pump (uprated), or the bottom end. Does get a bit quieter when warm, and only goes away when under load (as far as I can hear).

Gearbox is deffo on the way out, noisy as the moment, but preparing for the worst.

Change the rear bench and door cards when they arrive and the seats will all match.

I only ever put £10 in there which is enough to either get to Tesco's for 99 or down Mumbles for V-Power which is about 5p cheaper than Bont.
