Gets me from A to B, kids in the back and you can get a pram in the boot I believe those clio172s are a really nippy motor, should be a good day with different motors

So are the civic type r's!

Glad you can make it mate, looking forward to seeing the motor! I also like your theory about about the car being a practical family car that has all the toys for when you want it. With a 5 year old already and another one due in September I think I'm gonna have to sell the civic type r and get something more practical witb 4 doors and a large boot, so may look into coming back to a scooby,- but with 4 doors this time!

Sorry f going off topic, I looked at GTR34, focus RS & BMW M3, missus demanded 4 doors, so I opted for the sensible family option

No that's cool mate, the mrs is quite good about what I do with the car, she's already said that she doesn't mind if I keep it, but I just think it might be a bit of a mission as it's the anniversary edition and has the big bulky recaro's which don't have much movement, plus we've got a static caravan that we go to often and we load the car up enough as it is at the moment so with another baby we're gonna be taking a lot more gear with us, so a bigger boot is pretty much a must.

I've done a lot of work to the civic for this trip so I'm just gonna enjoy it for the moment then think about maybe selling it afterwards.

Only thing that puts me off another scooby is the running costs what with having it as a daily car.

When I had my last Scooby I ended up buying a pug 106 diesel for running about in.

Now I have another scoob i'm gonna do it again. It works out cheaper running a £300 beat up 106 diesel aswell as a scoob as opposed to running a scoob everyday as a first car. Insurance is minimal on a 106, the engine is bullet proof and parts are everywhere. 60mile to gallon too.

Just a quick thing to be aware of - please drive sensibly as we do not want to end up attracting the attention of the local police plus if we all get strung out then the run will fall to pieces before we know it.

We will of course drive with vigour and spirit but there is no need to take risks with your safety or any other road users safety.

The club I usually go out with separate the group in to different classes "sensible" and not so sensible, might be a good idea those who want to go nuts can

Hi all!!
I am new to the site and would welcome a chance to put faces to names so count me in please.

I am from Birmingham so it will be a bit of a treck but I am getting exited already!!

I have just bought a 96 Type RA which just needs a little TLC but it is still good to go with only minor issues. It drives OK.

Just need to get hold of some Parts like suspension and other bits and bobs which I will hopefully get out of the way by this week end.

I have managed to find a local lad that is breaking his WRX and he has promised me prices that will be cheap as chips apparently

I will try to keep you guys posted on it.

If you want to bed in your brakes Jarvis perhaps I could be tempted to go out for a drive next Sunday.

And as for plodding behind it will only take a couple of bikers to overtake you and you will feel compelled to go and chase them.
