Just another pointless manipulated statistic IMHO designed to get attention.
What it does not say is how many people don’t bother reporting crime now due to the complete fob off get from the police these days - unless happen to be doing 31 mph in a 30 zone !

Red face Labour Supporter swaps Sides!!

A life long supporter of the labour party was lying on his death bed when he suddenly decided to join the Tory party.

"But why?" asked his puzzled friend, "You're labour through and through … Why change now?"

The man leaned forward and explained: "Well, I'd rather it was one of them that died and not one of us."

How are the figures worked out? Based on the population, or based on the offences reported etc

Face facts, you know for a fact that crime is up. Please see picture above, its all spin. But feel free to carry on spouting

REPORTED crime is down. Possibly anyway.
People gave up reporting crime years ago when the courts went soft, and society went mad.
Either way, people feel LESS safe on the streets than they did 10 years ago.

If I didnt know better, and that you were, as usual, trolling, I would bother to explain how they have spun the figures for your viewing pleasure. However I know you know better, so wont waste my time

22% chance of being a victim of a crime, lower than 10 years ago. Which was prob 24%. But 24% of a population of 5,000,000 is LESS than 22% of a population of 8,000,000

lol or you have been smoking said pipe and misunderstood what I was saying.

My point being, the courts have gone soft, and people are less likely to bother reporting crimes based on the punishment and retaliations expected.

Correct me if I am wrong but crimes such as muggings are no longer taken into consideraton when these figures are compiled, if you manipulate enough the facts of course the figures are down. More spin

The easy way to reduce crime figures is not to record crime in the first place.

I was a victim of Credit card fraud a few years back. The Police registered it as an enquiry !!!!! No crime here, move along.

So how many other Crime's get booked down as something completely different.

GP waiting list are down under Labour. How did they manage that? Stopped people making appointments in advance. Bingo.

People waiting for operations of down to by some clever workings, and so on. People out of work is down, but not counting certain groups....

Spin spin and more spin. None of them ever tell the truth but I pay little attention to any number spoken by politicians these days.

I would say research groups like Cancer UK have had more to do with the survival rates than a government.
Low morgages were one of the things that collapsed the markets which collapsed the economy, thats something for the CV for sure!
Pupil funding doubled compared to what year. Fuel prices have doubled over their time in power too, is that a positive too?

I can see some "really" important spends there for the tax payer to pay for.

It's much better now than in 1997 at the end of the disaster which was the Tories .... a blind man on a galloping horse can see that!!

Anyway ... tonight we shall witness the final nail in Camerons posh coffin!

Then it's a straight 2 way fight between NL and LibDems ......

You can call it spin all you like .... the intelligent know the facts, and that's why Cameron and the Tories are getting a right royal kicking .... don't get me wrong, I'm no Labour supporter - just a supporter of facts. And Labour have done outstandingly well over the last 13 years, although it pains me to say it. But it's true!
