Sadly the tories did not get a clear majority, having said that it will take Labour + Lib Dems + 2 of the other parties to gsain enough seats to get into power - how will that work and more importantly how will that be good for the country!

It works in most other democratic countries quite well, the main thing is that everyone voting has a chance to be heard. Who says the best ideas comes from one party who with less than a third of the vote.

New government
Looks like we are about to get a new Con-Dem government. Interesting to look at the market's reaction - the pound is up 2.5 cents against the dollar and almost 2 cents against the euro since lunchtime when Lib-Lab started to looked flaky.

Well, here we go ...... an unelected leader of an unelected party now runs the country!
There will be another Election on 14th October 2010!!
And now we shall see what mess the Tories can do in such a short while ... don't say I didn't warn you!!
You will all be crying for blood in 12 months ... and blubbing that Blair should have ruled us for a millenium!

The Tories got exactly the same 10.7m votes as Tony Blair did when he got 413 seats in 2001, and Labour got the same 2m less as the Tories did back then. I don't remember anyone saying Blair didn't win?
Labour have existed throughout with the majority of the country voting against them - what's your point, Lewis? Blair only had 40% when he won his 05 'landslide'.
Brown must be gutted that he lost to the Tories and never won the support of the country

.... now Osborne is blown away by the economic heavyweights
The Tories are pathetic and un-electable .... they have blown their chances and are seriously desperate as they see their lead disappear into a huge slump!!
Bye Bye Tories

What happened next?
The Tories didn't win - that's what happened!
Now we have an unelected Leader of an unelected party mix!
And as for Osborne - what a little kid, to do a mans job - laughable!
