None of the above particularly bothers me tbh.
The country is in a $hit state, so there are bad times ahead. Anyone who believes this is "same old tories" and thinks Labour would have done it another way is deluded.
True or not figures, rough times ahead, just remember who got us there in the first place.

Cant wait to see how long it takes labour to start with the "we would not have done that, we had a plan" crap

Band L and M Road Tax will be £500 and £600 respectively - increasing by 10% each year, every year. The rest of the bands will increase by 5%.

NI contributions will increase by 1% to Employees - the Tory Employers will not pay the increase.

First £10,000 Tax Free.

That's what I heard, anyway
Actually, that is not a bad start. All apart from the fuel of course, but then we are going to get stiffed over that anyway.

No matter who formed a government thing were going to get tough, and believe me this is just the start.

I do wish people who pulled their heads out their ***** though, and drop the tribal BS. The previous government must take some blame for the current situation of course, but thiers so much happened around the world over the past few years that the government cannot possibly of controlled.

"thiers"

Apart from that I totally agree, the country is in a **** state and whoever got into power was going to have to make some tough decisions. The new government is apparently going to be increasing the NHS budget in real terms over the next five years and if they do something to increase efficiency (possibly be reversing the ridiculous increase in "managers") there will be even more money available to spend at the sharp end.

We have seen a momentous change over the past week or so and to me it seems like we are now governed by a set of people who are genuine (yes I know they are politicians!) and really want to do the best for the country, not their individual parties or ideologies.

I may change my opinion in the months ahead but for now let's try to be positive!

i`m not sure what the total budget is something like 1000 billion but 200 billion of that goes on benefits.

what they should do is make ppl who have been on the dole for more than 6 months work for their benefit, ie recycling , cleaning etc etc .all the lazy ones will think if i`m doing this i might aswell get a proper job, all the scammers wont be arsed with fiddling because they have to work so in the end that would cut a large ammount off it

plus i believe the average prisoner costs something like £300 a week , how????
same thing there make them work for their cushy priveleges, at least you are rehabilitating them at the same time, if the prisons were run well they could at least be run for free or even revenue making.

look like i am going to have to get a runabout and keep my car as an ornament.

You do realise that the majority of that 'benefit' budget is pensions?

13 years of excess, now the hangover.

either drastically cut spending and raise more via taxes or go begging to the IMF.

Dear Paul,

Yes, I am currently resident in the UK, having spent the last period that you remained in the Fen Lands of Lincolnshire travelling the Territory's in search of and achieving the goal of personal wealth.

That is most strange - UncleBuck, I thought you had left the UK?

You did say that you were going to quite a few times over the years - obviously things were not actually that bad for you then?

You will have to go back further than the 70's if you want a proper labour party to blame most of the 70's were under tory rule

This is better, and you have to understand politics to know that labour were not the first choice for that hung parliment, the conservatives had the first shot at it in 74, they couldnt form a government so labour did, it was a minority government, not a majority government like the one we have now, so everything could be voted against (and it was, mainly by the tories ) so yes, the tories ruled most of the 70's

Are you complaining about the list?, are you certain that your source is accurate anyway?

What do you think your hero would have done instead if he was still in power? Would he have just carried on borrowing until it all ran out and we went to the wall?

I have been telling you for a long time now that his actions would result in the chickens coming home to roost as we can all see now. Do you still regard him as a master statesman with all the answers for a strong economy, low unemployment, and running a country admired by the world,as it used to be?

What are your suggestions to run this country right now, are you able to tell us instead of all the bluster?

Les
