South Park takes the p1ss out of everyone, sometimes individuals and groups need a gentle bit of ribbing so they take a look in the mirror, most of the time its inclusive and in good humour, most groups either join in or ignore it, seems to me that there is a very touchy, combatative side to the religion, almost nowadays looking for a battle and a chance to get medeival and teach the infidels the error of their ways.
it has got to a point now, through our own legislation to combat racism (of which the population of this country were very guilty at one point and still are to an extent) and the very defensive and hard line Islamic groups nobody can say anything as you will either end up with a Hate Crime trial or your head lopping off depending who gets to you first , this approach didnt work in Stalins Russia, anyone who said anythign ended up in the Gulags but we have free speech, we also have laws against threats to kill and murder, we are Muslims and really we should have the right to offer constructive criticism and to include Muslims in what we call "A sense of humour" which seems to have deserted the collective, we dont have Sharia Law, it is not a crime in this land to depict Mohammed, just a bloody bad idea, I suspect people would stop doing it if there wasnt such a reaction, its almost developing into a new extreme sport, Muslim Baiting, personally I dont think they should rise to it.
Our society has a lot of wrongs and Muslims seem free to offer criticism of our decadent ways, fair comment, Islam has a lot of sound ideal underpinning it but also aspects are from the dark ages and just wrong, we arent allowed to offer this opinion, because its a religion and it will never change, its stuck 2000 odd years back like the rest of them, the fact there are many different religion makes me think its just mumbo jumbo, do what you want but I want nothing to do with it.

The whole premises of the episode was that Mohamed or Islam cannot be mocked, That was the reason Tom Cruise wanted to get his hands on Mohamed.
