I think it is particularly stupid to say the least to effectively insult members of any religion by poking fun at or misrepresenting revered members of a religion in a manner which is offensive to the members of that organisation. The people responsible for that programme must be unthinking idiots of the first water.

It may not seem important to those who are secular for obvious reasons, but it can be very upsetting to those who are not.

Its only amounts to to having a bit of sensitivity and demonstrating good manners towards those who have a different outlook on life.

Mate, not with the whole muslim world, just the ME lot. I once had a debate with Mus about this and whilst the majority of the Muslim world live in Indonesia it is the minority (ME and Pakistani Muslims) that cause all the issues.

And as for how people are brought up...

All through primary school and high school I had a friend who was a Muslim. He prayed 5 times a day or whatever and his parents were pretty strict. I sat beside him in a class in high school when we were probably 17 or so... so getting old enough to think more like adults than kids. I was asking him about how important allah was to him and he said that if he thought allah wanted him to, he'd have no question about killing his whole family, in the name of allah. He was deadly serious.

This is how naive a lot of followers of Islam are. I mean, these are the parents who brought him up and the only reason he believes in/follows Islam. So it's purely a matter of chance that he believes what he does so strongly. Again, this is something he has no proof of, it's just belief in his head, and he was told to think that by his parents. Had he been born to a Italian catholic family he would have thought that was the only valid religion instead. With that in mind, what is the point in spending your whole life being miserable and oppressed for no reason? It's all about controlling the masses and getting them to one way of thinking that makes the people at the top's life easier and means they can get what they want without their inadequacies getting in the way.

Do you not see how ridiculous and not in any way insulting it is to be called idiots by people like that?
