We should not forget that a prevous government did a pretty good job of asset stripping the country (nationalised industries, oil, ERM) and we are about to vote that party back in.
We have also suffered more due to our economy's reliance on the financial services sector (and don't get me started on why that is).
Hence why we got so hammered by the financial crisis.
I thought the scrapping of the unions was a good idea because of strikes etc - the local labour MP almost had a fit at me for making this comment and pretty much started on a rant to which I asked her if she remembers the death traps that BL used to churn out?
Because I believe our economy is the biggest thing that needs fixing and the best potential chancellor out of the lot of them is Vince Cable I voted Lib Dem (I don't believe that the LibDems will flock to Labour)

I'm sure everybody on Scoobynet would like to join me in wishing David Cameron the very best of luck.
He is the only hope the UK has of avoiding complete financial and social meltdown.
It is no way certain that he will get a majority but for the sake of the country I love I hope he does.
If he is in a position to form a government my good wife and I shall be celebrating (though I know there is pain to come) with a chilled bottle of Krug that we've been saving for a special occasion.
How will you celebrate?
