well, i would take tony burns 997 turbo comment and check out what running cost to expect.
owning both t25 hawk and 997. £3k upward bills at my local porsche centre are not uncommon. having owned many porsches over the years £10k bills have also been in the mix . never had similar with the several scoobs ive owned. different ball game

what porsche did you have it's £500 every 20,000 miles and the only thing that is costly are the tyres which is £1200 every 10k it works out cheaper then the scoob.

£1200 for my 1st "cheap" service with my old Cayman (advertised as £350 BTW).... Porsche servicing is anything but cheap.

you pay for the name and as many people have said before, after the warranty's up you have a fully forged engine ready for some heavy tuning. its also got a better set up suspension and other parts. i know everyone keeps going on about the litchfields and i am definately not knocking them because i hear there great cars, but in a few years time whats going to be worth more, the cossie because unless you know about subaru's you wouldn't have a clue who they were.

on a side note are litchfield doing any hatch's as i only see the old style blobeyes and hawkeyes and i don't think you can compare them with the hatch, totally different cars.

if you get 10k out of tyres you are lucky or driving like my mum ! usually 2 sets a year! the soft pilots only managed 4,700 miles .10k bill was older turbo. my last 997 bill was £1800 for 2yr service and a few bits nothing major. 997s then
997 gt3 rs, facelift 997 turbo. never had a sub £500 bill . dont get me started on the ceramics !

Yeh the pilot sports don't last long i should of said the 2nd set of tyres lasted 10k i went for pirellis after the pilot's. I have cermaics on mine they seem to be ok the warrenty has just expired and from the tone of your post i have the feeling i should opt for the 3rd year warranty ,but am selling it now anyway to get the new gt2 rs.
