I agree.

He was a grossly incompetent Chancellor and an ineffective PM. He skirted around the truth, especially when he presented his budgets. I still think he was at least sincere about his policies which were utterly useless as far as this country was concerned.

The manner of his departure was correctly done and was dignified with no unpleasantness and he cannot be blamed for all that.

Did you expect them to be pushing an old pram with all their possessions piled up on it then?

My mistake - they've just gone to see the queen.
Replaced by another bunch of state funded, taxpayer teat sucking leeches. What happend when there was the last Labour lead hung Parliament. The Tories won. What happend after that? Labour won. So now you (And me too) have a coalition. WOW! Loook to Belgium (And many other countries) to see how well that works!

And that is where you are wrong. Because, it's not these "public figures" you need to "worry" about. It's the "hidden masses" and "ruling classes" behind them that actually have the power. Ever wonder why "security" is so tight around that part of London? It's to keep us out!

What we need is a "French" revoloution, seriously. The main problem is that most people are "comfortable", even though our civil rights are being eroded faster than our taxes and Himilayan glaciers are melting (2035 apparetly - what a hoot).

Surely you have to let him prove he's a bigger **** before labelling him as such, at least Brown and Blair proved they were before being labelled....

On the brightside we wont have a sweaty telling us what to do after 13 years of Scottish rule

It would seem that I was wrong - we now do know that Brown had taken a call from Clegg confirming the deal allowing Brown to resign.

There is a clear sequence and there there was no obvious petulance, there are photographs of Brown taking the call and the most obvious emotion seems to be one of relief.

If he'd shown the same levels of humility and dare I say it charisma over the last 13 years, the result might have been different!

I thought the way he left with his kids and his wife was very dignified and he looked like a huge weight had been taken off his back.

Steve

PS Anyone else have a secret crush on Sarah Brown?

The negotiating chips have been moved around the table somewhat by this move.
So what's it to be? Strategy or because he knew the deal was done???

The literal meaning of the word "Politician" is "Lies to the public/the people". Yes, I do not like liars.

I agree, I have always regarded the word politician as a euphemism for someone who will do his level best to hide the truth, even if it is not injurious to himself at times!

You seem to have changed your style Klaatu, Have you been eating wineglasses for breakfast?
