He does I must admit. Saw his speech. Liked this bit about Flash ... "... And on behalf of the whole country I would like to pay tribute to the outgoing prime minister for his long record of dedicated public service ...". I think the expression is 'damned with faint praise' ...
Thought there could have been a bit of a Freudian slip though. The transcript says he said, "... Yes, that is about cleaning up expenses, yes, that's about reforming Parliament and, yes, it's about making sure people are in control and that the politicians are always their servants and never their masters ..."
What I heard was "... people are control ... in control ...." ......
I hope not ......

hand full yes cause most off the scroungers and long term unemployed voted for labour easy money im fed up with paying 700 pounds per month in taxes when more and more teenage girls are up the duff to scrounge off hard workers like me and the people who have seven kids and he would have to earn 500 quid a month to go back to work friend so i hope he stops benefits to people like this and my taxes might come down
Take off your rose tinted glasses.

I'm not suggesting who is right or who is wrong.... I am just suggesting the fact that your current "£700" tax bill is going to be a lot less than what your future tax bill will be, regardless of the "scroungers" debate.

Denigrating Osborne before he has even started the job is quite ridiculous and unfair. You cannot assume he is going to screw it up before he has even started. Surely we have to give him and his leader for that matter a fair chance. If they are rubbish, that is the time to criticise!

I am surprised you think he is smarmy. Doesn't come across like that to me, and I have known a good many of them in my time. Why not just give him a chance to see what he can do.
I think he was correct to describe Brown as dedicated. Its just that his Chancellorship and his turn at PM were blessed with gross incompetence.

I don't like him Les. He's hanging on the tailcoats of people like Cameron and Hague and we need someone better than that.
I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think I am.
